doneface Privacy Policy

emanon ("we," "us," or "our") sets out in this policy how user information is handled in the iOS app "doneface" (the "App"). The App does not send user information to our servers. The only information that leaves your device is the purchase information and an anonymous identifier needed to process in-app purchases (see “Third-Party Services”).

01Information the App Handles

Apart from purchase information, everything the App handles stays on your device. We never receive or collect any of it.

Proof selfies — The photo you take after finishing a focus session. Stored only in the app’s area on your device.
Focus records — Start time, length, purpose (preset name), and outcome. Stored only on your device.
Settings and presets — Notification settings, presets you create, and lock group configuration. Stored only on your device.
Purchase status — Whether you subscribe to doneface Plus. This is determined on your device from the App Store’s records; we do not identify purchasers. Purchases and restores are processed through RevenueCat (see “Third-Party Services”).

There are no accounts. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, location, browsing history, or advertising identifier. No usage analytics are sent.

02How Information Is Used

Information on your device is used only for the following purposes.

Showing your proof cards and letting you look back at your log
Running a focus session and letting you know when it ends (local notifications)
Keeping the apps you chose closed for the time you set
Determining whether to unlock doneface Plus features

03Where Data Is Stored and Who Can Access It

All of the App’s data lives on your device. We operate no servers for it.

Proof selfies

Photos you take are saved only in the app’s private area on your device. No third party — including us — can view them. Depending on your backup settings they may be included in your iCloud backup; that is a standard iOS mechanism and is not something we can access.

Your choice of apps to lock

Choosing which apps to keep closed goes through Apple’s Screen Time (Family Controls) mechanism. The App only receives opaque identifiers, so we cannot know which apps you selected.

That selection is also stored only on your device and is never sent anywhere.

04Third-Party Services

The App uses no external services for storage or analytics. Only two parties are involved.

Apple (App Store / StoreKit) — Used to purchase doneface Plus and to determine whether you are subscribed. Payment is handled by Apple; we never receive your payment details.
RevenueCat — Processing in-app purchases and restores, and recording purchase status. It handles an anonymous identifier generated by RevenueCat together with purchase information (product, purchase date, country, and device type). It does not receive your proof selfies, focus records, or any personally identifying information such as your name or email address. Whether you are subscribed is still determined on your device and does not depend on RevenueCat’s response.

No analytics platform, advertising network, cloud storage, or push notification server is used.

05Disclosure to Third Parties

Because the App sends no user information to our servers, we hold no information that could be provided or sold to third parties. The transfer of purchase information to RevenueCat described under “Third-Party Services” is a processing arrangement for in-app purchases; there is no other disclosure to third parties.

06Security

Proof selfies are stored on your device with iOS file protection applied, so they cannot be read while the device is locked. Since photos are never transmitted over the network, there is no transmission path on which their contents could leak.

07Deleting Your Data

You can delete proof cards one at a time from the detail screen in the log. Deleting removes both the record and the photo file from your device.

Deleting the App from your device removes the stored data along with it. We hold no data on our side. If you would like the anonymous purchase information recorded by RevenueCat to be deleted, contact us at the address below. If a copy is included in your iCloud backup, you can remove it from iOS Settings.

08Children

The App has no public feed, no search, and no features for interacting with other users. Photos you take never leave your device. Please use the App under the supervision of a parent or guardian.

09Tracking and Advertising

The App does not display advertising, perform behavioral targeting, or engage in any tracking across third parties. It also performs no face recognition, facial analysis, or expression/emotion detection.

10Changes to This Policy

We may revise this policy as necessary. If we make a material change, we will announce it on this page.
